Preston Athletic bowed out of the Scottish Cup in the second preliminary round - they lost 2-0 to Linlithgow Rose at the Pennypit.
In the Alex Jack Cup, there were contrasting fortunes for Tranent Juniors and Musselburgh Athletic - the Belters beat Easthouses Lily 4-1 at Foresters Park, while Burgh were thrashed 5-1 by Dalkeith in Midlothian.
And in the East of Scotland League, Dunbar recorded a 6-0 home win over Hawick Royal Albert, while Ormiston shipped six as they went down 6-1 at Heriot Watt University.
Haddington Athletic saw League Cup action, and they proved too good for Blackburn United, winning 2-0 in West Lothian.
Meanwhile there were wins for Musselburgh and North Berwick in National 1 and East 1 respectively as the rugby league season kicked off.
Burgh recorded a 17-12 win at Kelso, while North Berwick were also victorious on the road, triumphing 24-19 at Forrester.
Preston Lodge went down 37-13 at newly-promoted Highland in National 2; Haddington lost 67-22 to Carrick in National 3 and also in East 1, Ross High lost to last season's table-toppers Hawick Harlequins 22-27 in Tranent.
