GRANT Forrest looks almost certain set to miss the cut at The Open, despite a much improved second round.
The Craigielaw golfer was up against it following a nine-over par round yesterday (Thursday) at Carnoustie.
Despite, a much-improved round of two-over par, the predicted cut is just two-over par at the end of day two.
American Kevin Kisner, who is still on the course, continues to lead the competition from Zach Johnson.
Brandon Stone, who won the Scottish Open at Gullane Golf Club, last weekend, remains in contention on three-under par.
The third round takes place tomorrow (Saturday) with the final round on Sunday afternoon.
