TWO Major winners, one an Olympic champion, have been confirmed among the fields for the Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open and Ladies Scottish Open at Gullane in July.
World number five Justin Rose will return to the East Lothian course after playing the last time the Scottish Open was played in the county, at the same venue in 2015.
The 2014 winner, a 10-time European Tour winner and reigning Olympic champion, said: “The last time I played at Gullane in 2015 I followed up with a sixth place finish in The Open, so I’m looking forward to teeing it up there again, and to two good weeks of links golf.
“The Scottish Open is a fantastic tournament and I’m glad to be back and vying to lift the trophy again. There’s definitely something special about playing golf in Scotland – the crowds are so knowledgeable and appreciate good play which always makes for a good atmosphere.”
Meanwhile, American Wie will compete at the ASI Ladies Scottish Open when it comes to Gullane two weeks' after the men's event.

She said: "Playing American golf courses all year and then going over and playing links golf course, it's just so different, playing in those conditions, playing in the wind, different types of grass.
"It was just nice to be over there for two weeks, both great golf courses, and I'm really excited to do it again this year.
The 28-year-old is targeting victory in Gullane on July 26-29, adding: "To win in Scotland, on links, would mean the world to me."
