A TEAM of youngsters from Musselburgh Windsor FC got their hands on some silverware. . . in sunny Spain.
The club’s U15s took part in the Barcelona Cup during the Easter school holidays, where they battled teams from across Europe.
After a flight from Edinburgh to Heathrow, the youngsters, coaches and parents enjoyed a day at the PortAventura World water park before the serious business began.
Four 40-minute games were played on the Saturday with Windsor enjoying three wins and a draw to finish joint-top of their group.
They then beat pre-tournament favourites Foyle Harps, of Northern Ireland, 1-0 before a win over a Belgian side booked their place in the final.
In their way was Hammarby IF (Sweden), and the Windsor youngsters produced their best performance of the tournament to clinch a 3-0 win, and the trophy.
They scored 22 goals and conceded just three.
