NORTH Berwick rugby stars Chris Dean and Lewis Carmichael will play in Edinburgh Rugby's Guinness Pro14 clash with Munster at BT Murrayfield tomorrow (Friday).

Dean will start at inside centre, while Carmichael is among the replacements for the match, which could go a long way to determining Edinburgh's play-off fate.

Richard Cockerill, head coach, has been able to recall a number of players from international duty for the match.

Up front, Scotland cap Ben Toolis returns at lock, while Murray McCallum - capped in the NatWest Six Nations defeat to Wales - is at tighthead.

Fellow prop Simon Berghan - a starter in all four of Scotland's games in the NatWest Six Nations to date - also returns; joining Carmichael on the bench.

In the backs, Mark Bennett returns from national team training to line up alongside Dean in midfield.

Richard Cockerill, head coach, admits his side will be underdogs for the game.

He said: “Munster are a very good side. They should come here and they should win – but we’ll see.

“We’ll be well prepped and motivated for the game – as I’m sure they’ll be – and it’s another good test for us.

“Munster have probably got a good enough squad to beat us, but were playing well, we’re confident and we’ll go out there and try and improve on last week – that’s where we are at the moment.

“We’ve got some big games to try and win. We want to be in the play-offs and we’ve given ourselves a great opportunity to be in the mix.”
