A BADMINTON team from Dunbar Primary School have won the Mid & East Lothian Primary School Quaich.
They beat competition from Law, Burgh and King’s Meadow primaries at Meadowmill Sports Centre to take the trophy.
After some close matches, they faced Law Primary in the final, where they edged an exciting contest 3-2 to clinch victory.
Dunbar Primary will now go forward to represent Mid and East Lothian at the Scottish Schools Gibb Memorial Primary Quaich on Saturday at Ravenscraig, Motherwell.
Christine Black, East Lothian badminton development officer, was delighted with the “fun and competitive spirit amongst the pupils”.
She also thanked staff, coaches and parents for their support throughout the competition.
