NORTH Berwick rugby ace Harvey Elms has been named in the Scotland 7s squad for the weekend's HSBC World Series event in Hamilton, New Zealand.
However, the former North Berwick High School pupil (pictured with the squad below, courtesy Scottish Rugby) will continue undergoing the return-to-play protocol after picking up a head injury in Syndey last weekend.
That saw Elms sidelined along with captain Scott Riddell, Gavin Lowe and Robbie Fergusson as the Scots struggled in Australia, but head coach John Dalziel has been boosted by the news that all four are able to take their places in the squad.
Dalziel's side will be without the suspended Jamie Farndale for the pool stages after a dangerous tackle in Sydney.
Scotland have been drawn against hosts New Zealand, Argentina and France, with all games live on Sky Sports.
Dalziel said: There are a few sore bodies but we’re raring to go.
“We’ve been drawn in an exciting pool with three excellent teams and are confident that if we perform at the level we showed we were capable of in Sydney on a consistent basis we will go well.”
