MUSSELBURGH's Gary Anderson could retire darts legend Phil 'The Power' Taylor if he wins their PDC World Championship quarter-final this evening (Friday).
Taylor, a 16-time world champion, had announced he would quit the sport after the competition, and will take on twice champion Anderson in a repeat of the 2015 final.
Anderson, winner in 2015 and 2016, secured his place in the quarter-finals with a 4-2 win over Steve West at Alexandra Palace yesterday evening.
It was a below-par performance from the Musselburgh man, leading to speculation that the 47-year-old may be nursing a back injury.
He will take on Taylor later today, with the match live on Sky Sports.
