NORTH Berwick rugby star Chris Dean scored a dramatic last-minute try to help Edinburgh Rugby to 1872 Cup derby victory over Glasgow Warriors at the weekend.
Dean's try with a minute left on the clock saw Edinburgh, who had Simon Berghan sent off in the fourth minute, end the Warriors' unbeaten start to the Pro14 campaign with an 18-17 success.
An amazing climax in today's Scottish derby! Chris Dean sends the home fans into raptures as the 14 men of @EdinburghRugby come from behind against @GlasgowWarriors right at the death in the most incredible of circumstances! 💪 #EDIvGLA#1872Cup#GUINNESSPRO14 pic.twitter.com/gXEeTtyMnh

The Capital club's other points came from a Nathan Fowles try, two penalties by Sam Hidalgo-Clyne and a Jaco Van Der Walt conversion.
Another product of North Berwick RFC, Lewis Carmichael, who last week signed a new deal with the Capital club.

He joined Dean on the field at the end after he was an 11th-hour addition to the bench in place of injured club skipper Fraser McKenzie.
There was disappointment for Musselburgh-born Glasgow centre Huw Jones, on a record-breaking evening for the Scotland internationalist.
He opened the scoring less than two minutes in to his Pro14 debut, diving over after Tommy Seymour's break to score his first try in the competition - the quickest-ever on debut.
That's the fastest ever debut try in @PRO14Official history - 1m 50s by Huw Jones, beating Mark Jones (in 2001) and T.Rhys Thomas (in 2003) who both scored 2 minutes after coming on as a replacement on their Championship debuts.
