TWO North Berwick rugby stars played their part as Edinburgh Rugby recorded an historic win on Friday evening.
Chris Dean and Lewis Carmichael both scored tries as the Capital side recorded a 78-0 win over Russians Krasny Yar in the Challenge Cup.

The score came at the beginning of a good week for Carmichael, who signed a new two-year deal on Tuesday.

It was their biggest-ever European win, and most tries scored, with the county pair crossing for two of a dozen scores.
Dean laid on another for Duhan Van Der Merwe, while also making the initial break that led to Carmichael's first Edinburgh try.
The thumping win means Edinburgh are all-but guaranteed a place in the Challenge Cup last eight, with a home quarter-final looking likely.
Both players will hope to have played their way into Richard Cockerill's squad for the first 1872 Cup match against Glasgow Warriors at BT Murrayfield on Saturday.
