A GYMNAST who trains in East Lothian has won gold at the World Age Groups Championships in Bulgaria.
Caitlin O’Brien, a member of the City of Edinburgh Trampoline Club who train at Meadowmill, won gold in the double-mini trampoline (DMT) category and became world age group champion.
The teenager finished third in the preliminary round, booking her place among the top eight that qualified for the final.
And there she excelled, seeing off competitors from all across the world to become champion.
Caitlin, in a post on social media, said she was “over the moon” to have won.
That followed up a busy time for the gymnastics star, who won silver in the senior women’s DMT at the Loule Cup in October.
