ROSS High RFC's under-18s side are celebrating after they won the Scottish National Bowl at BT Murrayfield yesterday (Wednesday) evening.
Lucas Reid was the star of the 58-5 victory over Linlithgow on the back pitches at the national stadium, helping himself to a hat-trick of tries.
Vangjel Kacori before opened the scoring inside the first few minutes, and Ross never looked back.
Reid touched down for his first score, before Ali Baines and Adam Taylor crossed.
Linlithgow didn’t give up and a try from Darren Mitchell took the score at half-time to 5-29.
Tries from Kacori, Reid, Gavin Davidson, Stuart Fleming and Adam Taylor put the result beyond doubt.
And messages of congratulations have been flooding in on social media, including from county MSP Iain Gray.
What a performance! Congrats to all involved, most importantly the players who have stuck together through good times, and not so good times!
