SNOOKER star Ross Muir was eliminated from the UK Championship after a first round loss to Michael White yesterday (Wednesday).
Muir, a former Musselburgh Grammar School pupil, lost 6-5 to the 26-year-old Welshman in York.
It is the third year in a row that Muir, 22, has been knocked out of the championships in the first round.
Muir's attention will now turn to a homecoming, as he prepares for the Scottish Open in Glasgow.
And the Honest Toun ace will take on Alfie Burden in the opening round at the Emirates Arena on December 11.
