NORTH Berwick rugby ace Harvey Elms is set to make his HSBC World Series debut for Scotland 7s next weekend (December 1-2).
The winger, who grew up in the town but plays his club rugby for BT Premiership outfit Currie Cheftains, was named in new head coach John Dalziel's first squad for the series opener in Dubai.
He is one of five debutants in the squad, along with Ross McCann, Max McFarland, Robbie Fergusson and Sam Sam Pecqueur, while Scott Riddell is captain.

Announcing the squad, ex-Melrose and London Scottish boss Dalziel, who took over as Scotland 7s head coach following a successful spell as U20 coach, said: "We are all looking forward to the start of the season and adding new experience and depth to our squad.
"The lads have trained very well over a long period and they are a tight group. We will face some very experienced and settled teams so we know we have to be at our very best straight from the off."
