MUSSELBURGH snooker star Ross Muir booked his place in the third round of the Northern Ireland Open with victory over Stuart Carrington yesterday evening (Wednesday).
The former Musselburgh Grammar School pupil came from 2-1 down to overcome Englishman Carrington.
And that means the 22-year-old faces world number 25 David Gilbert in the third round today (Thursday), with Muir on the verge a potential first ranking quarter-final, should be overcome Gilbert.
