TRANENT Amateur Swimming Club (TASC) celebrated the successes of its stars at the club's presentation evening on Saturday.
Record-breaking star Stefan Krawiec claimed the club's Swimmer of the Year title after the 11-year-old claimed three national age group records.
And his younger sister Zara also got her hands on an award, the Christine Howson Shield for the most improved junior, while Angus Donahoe claimed the Peter Milburn Shield as the most improved senior within the club.
To recognise the clubs newest swimmers, a new award was also introduced.
A shield for the most promising newcomer, for anyone who joined the club in the last 12 months, was introduced in memory of former TASC swimmer, captain, and coach Tim Dixon.
Lori Joyce was presented the shield by Tim’s father Iain.
The club's annual Tom Cunningham handicap race, featuring swimmers from each squad, was also held, with silver squad member Daniel Scott edging a thrilling race to take the Tom Cunningham Shield ahead of Murray Clark, Chloe Bayne and Ryan Swanston.
Two of the club's long-standing volunteers, John McManus and Fiona Pryde were also recognised with the creation of the McManus-Pryde Merit Award.
John has volunteered as both a coach and official with the club since his daughters joined the club more than a decade ago while his partner Fiona has also volunteered as an official and has held various positions on the club's committee.
The couple presented Silver Squad swimmer Harvey Orr the award in recognition of his achieving four East District Age Group consideration times, being the first silver squad swimmer to achieve times for 200 and 400 metre distances.
Meanwhile, Ellis Corrigan and Jaime Sutherland were confirmed as the new club captains.
Both swim with the clubs gold squad and have been volunteering as coaches with the clubs skill development and bronze squads while also attending competitions to assist the clubs lead coaches.
