COUNTY bowls legend Alex Marshall came from behind to win his first round tie at the Scottish International Open yesterday (Monday).
Tranent resident Marshall recovered from losing the opening end to beat Englishman David Bolt 6-8,9-4, 2-0 in the opening round.
He is joined in the second round by former Garden County ace Paul Foster - the reigning world indoor champion beat another Englishman, Chris Gale, 9-4, 8-3 to book his place in round two.
The second round takes place today (Tuesday) and tomorow, with four ties each day.
Foster is back in action later today with England's Mark Dawes his opponent, while Marshall returns to action aganst Les Gillett, also of England, tomorrow.
The quarter-finals will be on Thursday, semi-finals on Friday and final on Saturday.
