THERE were wins for four of the county's rugby sides on Saturday while Haddington Athletic edged an East Lothian derby in the East Premier League.
The Hi Hi were 1-0 winners over Tranent Juniors at Millfield while, elsewhere in the same division, Musselburgh Athletic won 3-2 at home to Downfield.
There was defeat for Dunbar United though, beaten by the odd goal in seven at home to title-chasing Fauldhouse United.
And in rugby action, Musselburgh thrashed relegation-threatened Falkirk at Stoneyhill in National 1.
Burgh's bonus-point 48-15 win helped them move out of the relegation places.
Preston Lodge bounded back from two heavy defeats with victory over Howe of Fife, winning 26-23 at the Pennypit in National 2.
But there was more misery for Haddington, as the Reds returned from Orkney empty-handed with the hosts claiming a 31-16 win as the two relegation-zoned clubs clashed.
In the East regional leagues, North Berwick and Ross High continued their winning streaks - North Berwick 38-19 winners over Duns in East 1 and Ross thrashing Edinburgh Northern 4-42 in East 2.
Dunbar, though, fell to a 10th defeat in succession as they were beaten 17-29 by Portobello at Hallhill.
Mark Coull's side are bottom of the table, and face second-bottom Corstorphine Cougars next Saturday (November 18).
