SCOTLAND 7s star Elizabeth Musgrove is set for a second consecutive appearance in the Royal Bank of Scotland Varsity Match tomorrow (Saturday).

Musgrove turned her attentions from athletics to rugby 12 months ago, and made her debut on the international pitch as she came off the bench to help the University of Edinburgh to victory against the University of St Andrews.

She scored with her first touch that day, and enjoyed a stellar first year with the university side, as they won the BUCS Championship at Twickenham, as well as a host of sevens events.

That propelled the county ace, who lives near Drem, into the Scotland 7s squad, and she won two caps over the summer.

And Musgrove will return to the national stadium for this year, taking the number 13 jersey worn by North Berwick's Megan Gaffney a year ago.

Gaffney stole the show, scoring a hat-trick as she was named player of the match.

Ahead of this year's game, Musgrove said: "I'm really looking forward to playing in Varsity this weekend, the crowd last year created such an amazing atmosphere, so hopefully it will be even bigger and continue to support women's rugby."
