TRANENT Juniors co-manager Darren Smith has turned down a move to East Superleague outfit Bonnyrigg Rose, after initially agreeing to the move.
The club confirmed today (Thursday) that Smith, who is charge at Foresters Park alongside Kenny Rafferty, had been approached about a role at New Dundas Park.
Smith met with Bonnyrigg officials earlier this week and agreed a deal, but the Belters confirmed that he had a change of heart and will now remain at Foresters Park.
A statement on Tranent Juniors' Facebook page said: "On Monday we received an enquiry from Bonnyrigg to speak to our co-manager Darren Smith. The club reluctantly agreed.
"After agreeing terms Darren turned his back on the move.
"The club will meet with Darren and Kenny over the coming days to discuss the situation."
