MUSSELBURGH-born centre Huw Jones has been recalled to the Scotland squad for a two-day training camp in St Andrews next weekend.
The eight-times capped centre, who grew up on Pinkie Road in the Honest Toun, is part of a 41-man squad selected by head coach Gregor Townsend.
Centre Jones only made his comeback from a hamstring injury picked up on international duty against Italy in the Six Nations in March (pictured below, by Alastair Ross) in the Western Province's win over the Blue Bulls on Saturday.
He is in line to continue that comeback against the Golden Lions tomorrow (Friday) evening.
As well as Jones' return, British and Irish Lions Stuart Hogg, Tommy Seymour, Finn Russell and Greig Laidlaw all return to the squad, while there are seven uncapped players - including Matt Fagerson, brother of prop Zander.
Gregor Townsend, Scotland head coach, said: “This camp is an opportunity to bring the players together who are foremost in our thoughts for the Autumn Tests.
“It’s an important step in our preparations for what will be three very tough test matches."
