A HOST of top senior golfers are swapping putters for a punt at Musselburgh Racecourse’s Friday Night At the Races tomorrow (Friday). 

Competitors in the Scottish Senior Open Championship, which takes place at the Renaissance Club at Archerfield over the weekend, will be guests at the county racecourse tomorrow evening.

The golfers will have a keen interest in the five-furlong 25 Years of the Scottish Senior Open Nursery Handicap (7.50pm) - to commemorate the 25th playing of the event this year - while players will also select the best turned out horse.

Paul Eales, defending Scottish Senior Open champion, said: “As sportsmen, we always take an interest in other sports and we are keen to see a great race for the Scottish Senior Open Nursery Handicap.”

Gates open at 3.30pm, while the first race gets under way at 5.40pm. 

The evening starts with gates open at 3.30pm and the first race is off at 5.40pm.
