THE 15-a-side rugby season drew to a close in North Berwick yesterday evening (Tuesday), as an East Lothian XV were well beaten by invitational side the Co-optimists.

The Co-ops' side saw 15 clubs from Scotland's top two leagues represented, and they showed their class as they ran out big winners.

More than 100 points were scored at Recreation Park, running out 72-29 winners against an East Lothian Select XV.

The annual fixture between a county select side and the Co-optimists has been played since 1924, and takes place at one of the six county clubs at the end of each season.

And on social media, the Co-ops extended "a big thank you" to North Berwick RFC for hosting this year's fixture.
