A FORMER North Berwick RFC lock will take on an ex-World Player of the Year at the weekend.
Lewis Carmichael will make his Western Force debut against New Zealand outfit The Chiefs on Saturday, after joining the club earlier this month on a short-term loan from Edinburgh Rugby.
The 20-year-old former Scotland U20 and Club International XV cap will pit his wits against a pair of All Black caps.
Opposite Carmichael in the Chiefs second row will be Dominic Bird, who has two caps for New Zealand, and Brodie Rettalick, the 60-times capped 2014 World Rugby World Player of the Year.
Also in The Chiefs side for Saturday morning's clash are Rettalick's World Cup winning colleagues Liam Messam, Sam Cane, who line up on the flanks, and stand-off Aaron Cruden.
The match, which is live on Sky Sports, kicks off at 10.45am on Saturday.
