Barnardo’s Scotland’s annual golf tournament will take place in East Lothian again this summer.

The charity fundraiser will be held at Archerfield Links on June 1, and is being hosted by former Scotland and British and Irish Lions stand-off Craig Chalmers.

The former stand-off said: “I’m delighted to be part of Barnardo’s Scotland’s annual charity golf day this year! Fidra Links at Archerfield is a perfect setting for a great game of golf and with lots of on-course competitions planned, I know it will be a brilliant day for all.

“Taking part in the golf day is a fun and easy way of supporting this children’s charity that offers vital support to some of Scotland’s most vulnerable families.”

The golf day has been running for almost a decade, and has raised more than £60,000 for Barnardo's.

Jordyn Armstrong, events co-ordinator for Barnardo’s Scotland, said: “We’re honoured that Craig will be playing an important role in our annual fundraising golf day.

"We’re really excited to be heading back to Archerfield Links this year too - it’s such a great course that everyone always enjoys.

"The day is a great way to network, socialise and can also be a fun teambuilding event, all the while contributing to a worthy cause.”

The cost per team of four for the Barnardo’s Scotland Golf Day, inclusive of a two course supper for four, is £600.
