TEENAGE football ace Matthew Knox “really enjoyed” a spell on trial at Manchester United – his third with the Premier League giants.
Livingston midfielder Knox, from Prestonpans, spent a week training with the Red Devils’ U23 squad earlier this month.
Knox (pictured below, by Jeff Holmes/Getty Images), became Livingston’s youngest-ever player when he made a cameo against St Mirren on Boxing Day 2015, just four days after his 16th birthday.
He has made seven appearances for the first team this term, but was an unused substitute in the 3-2 win at Peterhead in League One last Saturday.
The teenager’s dad, also Matthew, told Courier Sport his son “did very well” while on trial at Manchester United.
He added: “We’ll hopefully know more later in the week.
“His agent is dealing with it all but Matthew really enjoyed himself.”
Livi have previously turned down bids from Nottingham Forest and Rangers for the highly-rated midfielder, and the Ibrox outfit are believed to still be interested.
Courier Sport understands Knox also turned down a move to another English Championship club earlier this season.
