FOUR of the county’s rugby teams were left disappointed on Saturday morning, as their fixtures fell foul of the weather.

In National League Division 2, Preston Lodge’s clash at Hillhead Jordanhill was postponed early on Saturday due to a frozen pitch at Hughenden.

Meanwhile, a full card of East League Division 1 matches – including North Berwick, Dunbar and Ross High – were postponed.

North Berwick’s trip to Hawick Harlequins was among the first games to feel the affects of the weather, as it was called off on Friday afternoon.

Both Dunbar’s trip to Forrester and Ross High’s meeting with Penicuik in Tranent were postponed on Saturday due to frozen pitches.

The quartet will hope to return to action tomorrow (Saturday).

Preston Lodge are set to welcome Whitecraigs, who sit one place below them, to the Pennypit, while both Dunbar and North Berwick have home fixtures in East 1.

They will face Hawick Harlequins and Linlithgow respectively, while struggling Ross High are at league leaders Murrayfield Wanderers.
