SNOOKER ace Ross Muir's run at the UK Snooker Championship was ended by two-time former champion Ding Junhui on Sunday.
The 21-year-old from Musselburgh was beaten 6-2 by his more experienced Chinese opponent.
Muir told Courier Sport his game was not "where it should be", despite his first round success over Joe Swail last week.
However, the former Musselburgh Grammar School pupil was in philosophical mood after exiting the competition.
He tweeted: "Thanks to everyone for the support, taking a lot of positives forward and looking forward to the next tournament."
