TRANENT Juniors are looking for a new manager, after Gary Small resigned at the weekend.

Small took over in February 2015, and in his first full season in charge, led the club to their first trophy in nearly 20 years as they won the South Division.

He leaves just two months after signing a one-year contract extension, but with the club in 10th place in the East Premier League.

Small's final match in charge was the 2-1 Scottish Junior Cup defeat to Cumbernauld United last Saturday (November 19).

A statement from Paul McGregor, Tranent Juniors chairman, confirmed Small's departure.

He said: "Gary Small has tendered his resignation as manager of the club.

"We would like to put on record our appreciation for his hard work over the last two years.

"The committee will be meeting over the weekend to discuss interim arrangements.

"Further statements will be made over the next few days."
