NORTH Berwick rugby ace Megan Gaffney will once more start for Scotland Women in the second leg of their World Cup qualifier against Spain in Madrid.

Gaffney retains her place on the right wing, despite defeat in the first leg at Scotstoun Stadium last week.

The Scots, who scored a try through lock Debbie McCormack, were beaten 10-5 by their Spanish counterparts, who are four places above them in the world rankings.

Shade Munro, Scotland Women head coach, is looking forward to the match in Madrid.

He said: "We learned a lot from last week’s match and have been working on various areas since we came into camp this week.

“The players are confident and upbeat – it’s only half-time in this tie.

"We still have something to play for when we go over there and we are certainly going to give it our best shot.”
