TRANENT Juniors vice-chairman Matthew Wright has resigned from his role with the club.
Wright, who runs local building firm M-Pact, became involved with the club towards the end of the 2014/15 season, and took on the vice-chairman role a short time later.
He announced his departure through the club's social media pages on Friday.
Robert McNeill, the club's secretary, said Wright's decision had come "as a shock to us all at the club."
He added: "The current committee is very much a new one and the average age is considerably less than you will find at many Junior clubs, so much [so] that they call me dad.
"Many of our committee are in work full time and have family commitments which must always come first."
He added that the club, the pre-season favourites for the East Premier League title, is in a "sound financial position."
It is the second change to the club's hierarchy in recent months, after David Innes replaced Colin Martin as chairman in July.
