COUNTY boxing ace Josh Taylor will not be in action in Glasgow this weekend.
Taylor was expected to be on the undercard for Ricky Burns' vacant WBA World super lightweight title fight with Michele Di Rocco in Glasgow on Saturday.
The Prestonpans fighter told Courier Sport last month he was expecting to be on the undercard, but added: "Nothing has been organised yet."
Taylor, nicknamed the Tartan Tornado, instead turned his attentions to preparations for his next fight, in New York this summer.
The 25-year-old cannot wait to make the trip to the Big Apple.
He said: "It's great for me getting this exposure to big venues and big fights so early in my career."
Earlier this month, Taylor stopped Miguel Gonzalez of Honduras inside the opening round to extend his unbeaten professional run.
He is unbeaten in five pro bouts, and none of them have gone beyond the second round.
