Belhaven ward 2 must be saved

When I worked with Crossroads Care In The Community, we cared for people in their own homes.
Many of my clients living in Dunbar, East Linton and surrounding areas were moved to Belhaven Hospital when they could not manage to cope any more at home.
Their family and friends were happy with this move and praised the staff, and because it was so handy for visiting it was ideal.
The nurse who said of Belhaven Hospital in the Courier report on possible closure of Ward 2: 'The fact is there are no patients being booked in at the moment when we know of relatives who have tried to gain admission for their family member but were refused,' is being completely truthful.
The only reason I"m not naming the family in question is because I respect their privacy but I urge them to come forward. Ward 2 has to be saved at all costs.
