Celtic star Scott Brown has slammed a vile Twitter troll who mocked the cancer deaths of his sister Fiona and Hoops legend Tommy Burns.
The 32-year-old was sent a disgusting image on social media about skin cancer victims Fiona and former Celtic manager Burns.
The Hoops captain took to his Instagram account and hit back: "Just been sent this from my twitter account.
"Now football banter is all good between fans but when it gets personal and bringing family members and friends into who you love and miss everyday is disgusting."
Brown's sister Fiona passed away aged just 21 following a battle with skin cancer in May 2008. Two weeks earlier Tommy Burns died from the same disease.
Football fans were quick to offer support to Scott Brown online.
Keviebhoy said: "You’re in our thoughts Broony."
julia_howat_x posted: "Absolutely disgusting, what is wrong with these people. Why would anyone even think to say such a horrible thing."
handibode_ commented: "Just disgraceful, it's getting seriously tedious that football is becoming secondary to personal abuse & more."
While onesonofagun added: "Sickening Scott. Trolls of the lowest form and not even worth engaging in their form of ‘banter’."
The vile Twitter picture was posted just hours after Brown helped his side to a dramatic 1-0 win over Rosenborg in Norway.
