A MAN appeared in court yesterday (Wednesday) charged with attempting to break into a house in Tranent and theft.
Keith Ballantine, 40, faced three charges, one of attempting to enter a lockfast premises and two of theft.
He denied the charges and was remanded in custody for trial.
