The body of a 37-year-old woman, who has not been named, was discovered at an address on Baxter’s Neuk, in the Windygoul area of the town, at 5.50am yesterday (Thursday).
While police are treating the death as unexplained, it is not thought to be suspicious.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Police are currently treating her death as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full set of circumstances.
“A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
