There was an impressive turnout to see three former Scotland internationalists at Ross High Rugby Club at the weekend.
The trio of brothers – David, Iain and Kenny Milne, known collectively as The Three Bears – were on hand to support Scott Glynn in his final fundraiser for Walk with Scott 2.
Walk with Scott 2 took place in May and saw the former Ross High RFC president and friends walk to each of the county’s six rugby clubs and play a match there.
Sunday’s fundraiser featured an auction and speeches by the celebrated Milne brothers. Those in attendance were treated to a breakfast, with food provided by the rugby club.
Among the items donated to the auction werea signed Springboks rugby jersey, courtesy of South Africa forwards coach Richie Gray, and a three-night stay at a luxury Loch Lomond cottage.
Those prizes fetched £200 and £500 respectively, with Scott confirming that the event at the rugby club had raised nearly £4,000 for the Walk with Scott charities.
He was full of praise for those involved in raising more than £60,000 during two years of fundraising.
And Scott confirmed that he planned to stage the mammoth walk, over 50 miles in two days, for a final time next year.
