Tranent Beavers and Cubs were entertained by town sporting legend Alex Marshall recently.
Marshall, a double gold medallist at this summer’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, was on hand to give a talk to the youngsters and present medals, badges and a ‘Beaver of the week’ award, which went to Finlay Coyle.
The group’s sports-themed evening saw everyone dress in sporting attire, while playing charades of different sports and learning about a new sport. Luckily, Marshall was on hand to tell the youngsters everything they needed to know about lawn bowls.
The youngsters were delighted to see Marshall, nicknamed ‘Tattie’, and posed for pictures with his Glasgow 2014 medals.
