TRIBUTES have been paid to a 14-year-old schoolboy who died in his sleep in the early hours of Monday morning.
Kyle Wood, of Coalgate Road, Tranent, is understood to have suffered a seizure during the night.
The youngster, who was an avid Hearts fan, is the son of former Musselburgh Windsor FC coach Scott Wood.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said officers were called to the family home on Monday morning.
He said: “This was a medical matter and there are no suspicious circumstances.” Dad Scott thanked everyone who paid tribute to his son on his Twitter page this week.
One from Hearts Women and Girls said: “Rest in Peace little Kyle, you brought a smile to so many faces at the club. Far too young to be taken away! You will be deeply missed.”
