PLANS to replace Polson Park’s pavilion with new changing facilities have been given the go-ahead by East Lothian Council.
Planning permission for the new pavilion, which will replace the old building, has been granted to Tranent and District Community Sports Club.
Fundraising for the new facility, which will provide changing areas for football, tennis and bowls players, is already under way.
The Buy a Brick campaign has raised £750 so far but needs to meet a target of £20,000 to fund the new facility.
The club has already raised £85,000 to build the new facility.
People are being urged to support the campaign by sponsoring a brick for £20 each.
Each sponsor will have an image of their choice added to the fundraising page’s brick wall, as well as in the pavilion.
