Man in court over alleged attempted robbery
A TRANENT man has appeared in court accused of a firearm offence, attempted robbery and assault following an alleged incident at Ormiston's Co-op store.
Graham McGowan is alleged to have entered the village supermarket last month in an attempt to rob the premises.
McGowan appeared in private on petition at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday. He made no plea or declaration and was released on bail.
McGowan, 35, will return to court to face the allegations at a later date still to be determined.
