A man has been arrested after several mobile phones and wallets were stolen from the changing rooms of a rugby club as the senior team were out on the pitch training.
Police said Ross High Rugby Club called them after discovering the items had been taken from their Tranent changing rooms after their training session finished on Tuesday night.
Officers called to the Blawearie Road grounds were told several people had returned to find their wallets and phones had gone.
They said local inquiries led them to a home in Baxter's Neuk shortly before midnight on Tuesday where a number of items were recovered.
Police said a 30-year-old man is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court tomorrow (Thursday)in connection with the thefts.
