A MURAL which sets out the hopes and dreams for the future of Tranent is at the centre of a United Nations Day of discussion on children's rights.
Youngsters involved in creating the StreetsAhead Tranent mural, travelled to Geneva with their artwork to take part in a Day of General Discussion on Childrens Rights.
The mural was created by children from primary schools across Fa'side and shows off Tranent's history, its present day, and a vision of how the young people would like to see it evolve in the future.
Earlier today the pupils had the chance to meet delegates from the United Nations and answer questions about the mural, before taking part in a debate about children's rights.
Children from Elphinstone, Windygoul, St Martin’s RC, Ormiston and Sanderson’s Wynd primaries took part in designing the mural.
It is due to become a permanent piece of public art at Ross High School, once it has completed its current tour.
