Two more arrests have been made in connection with a series of house break-ins in Musselburgh between April and June.

Police in East Lothian said two men aged 19 and 20 have been charged in connection with the break-ins.

The arrests come just one week after a 21-year-old man was charged in connection with the same incidents.

Between April 16 and June 4, a total of 11 break-ins were reported at properties on Market Street, New Street, Stoneybank Gardens, Campie Gardens, Bush Terrace, Bellfield Avenue, Albert Terrace, Millhill and Hope Place.

Chief Inspector Matt Paden, Local Area Commander for East Lothian said: "Thanks to some excellent police work and the invaluable assistance of the public, we have arrested and charged a further two men in connection with 11 housebreakings in Musselburgh.

"Housebreakings can have a devastating impact and Police Scotland is committed to tackling this unacceptable behaviour wherever it occurs.
