JUNIOR football is in mourning following the passing of a key figure in the game.
Jackie Myles died on Monday at the age of 52. He had been diagnosed with a brain tumour shortly before Christmas.
Mr Myles was one of the most likeable and recognisable figures in East Region Junior football.
He had spells in professional football with Dundee United, Falkirk and Raith Rovers, but he was most remembered for his time at Bonnyrigg where he spent more than 10 years.
In East Lothian he is fondly remembered at all four clubs.
Both Musselburgh and Tranent had seasons to remember under his stewardship as player/manager.
In 2004 he led Musselburgh to their first cup in 35 years, lifting the Brown Cup, while he took Tranent to the last-16 of the Junior Scottish Cup in 2006/2007.
In three seasons at Dunbar as a player he amassed 104 appearances, scoring 12 goals. During his time playing and managing Tranent and Musselburgh, Mr Myles played alongside his son Jackie Jr - now back at Musselburgh.
Mr Myles Jr said: "We are obviously devastated and he will truly be missed."
He is also survived by daughter Kirsty and grandchild Blair.
There will be a minute's silence tomorrow (Saturday) at Dunbar as they welcome Haddington to New Countess Park and at Olive Bank where Musselburgh play Pumpherston.
There will also be a charity collection before the game at Musselburgh and at a sportsman's dinner later that night.
His funeral service takes place at Mortonhall Crematorium, Edinburgh, at 3pm today (Friday). The public are welcome to attend.
