DUNBAR visitor attraction John Muir"s Birthplace is to welcome its second royal visitor in just over a year when Prince Charles, the Duke of Rothesay, arrives on Wednesday.

The heir to the throne is due to visit the High Street museum, dedicated to the life and works of Dunbar-born world famous naturalist Muir.

It will be the second time staff at the Birthplace have given a member of the royal family a grand tour - HRH Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex, was greeted by Dunbar residents of all ages when he visited in February 2008.

Prince Charles" last visit to East Lothian took place in June 2001, when he toured historic 17th century Newhailes House in Musselburgh, said the county"s Lord Lieutenant Sir Garth Morrison.
