TWO people have been arrested and charged after cocaine worth an estimated £5,000 was found on Prestonpans High Street.
The drugs were found after police officers on patrol stopped a car in the town on Thursday, August 28.
Quantities of the Class A drug were found in the vehicle, leading to raids on two properties in the town.
Police found more cocaine in a home on High Street, as well as seizing cash and drug paraphernalia in a house on Preston Terrace.
Investigating officer Sergeant Gordon Millar said: “A 46-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman have been charged with drug offences.
“They are due to appear at Haddington Sheriff Court at a later date.
“Anyone with any information on drugs crimes in their area should contact Police Scotland on 101 or phone the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
