NINETEEN headstones have been vandalised at Prestongrange Parish Church in Prestonpans.
Police are investigating the incident, thought to have taken place between 1pm on Sunday and 9am the following day.
Session Clerk Ian Wallace posted a short film online showing the damage at the cemetery, off the town’s Nethershot Road.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Police are carrying out enquiries but anyone who noticed any suspicious behaviour around the church over the weekend are urged to contact police on 101.”
