AN EIGHT-year-old boy was rushed to hospital after he was struck by a car in Prestonpans yesterday (Thursday).
The youngster was taken to Edinburgh's Sick Kids Hospital, where his condition has been described as serious, following the collision near Bankton Terrace, on the B1361, shortly after 6.40pm .
Emergency services were called to the scene.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said enquiries into the incident were ongoing.
