COCKENZIE and Port Seton's triumphant rowing team scooped more honours at the Portobello Regatta last weekend.

Following on from their success in Portsoy last month, the maroon-clad Burgh squad won a further four titles rowing in their self-built St Ayles skiff.

The team fought off stiff competition from competitors from Portobello, Achiltibuie, North Berwick and Newhaven during the challenging competition.

Rowing in their 22-foot vessel, Boatie Blest, the Cockenzie and Port Seton squad walked away with four of the seven titles on offer, including the Women's Open, Men's 40 plus, Women's 40 plus and the Under 18s.

The race involved the teams having to row 400 metres out to a buoy, and then make their way back to the shore. And the wins come hot on the heels of the Cockenzie and Port Seton team winning three of the six race categories at the Portsoy Festival in June.

The Portobello team won the Mixed Open race, Achiltibuie triumphed in the Men's Open category and a team from Newhaven won the Mixed 40 plus with a skiff loaned by Anstruther.
